In 1984, the San Francisco Giants needed something to get fans' attention away from their poor play on the field. Enter the first ever anti-mascot a crustacean mascot which drew heat from not only the fans, but the Giants and the opposing teams as well. It's all immortalized in one of the best baseball commercials ever.

The start of a new baseball season has arrived and we celebrate by looking back at the TV version of a movie from 3 years prior, about a rag-tag group of underdogs.  The toughest competition for The Bad News Bears didn't come from opponents on the field, but from its competition on other networks.

With the XFL having returned last month for it's third version, we felt it was right to release a special extended edition of our XFL episode released around the launch of the 2020 XFL.

This time we've added a few additional segments on the 2001 version but we've also recorded an hour of new footage regarding the 2020 XFL.

In this year's "big game," for the first time, we have a set of brothers playing against each other for a title.  Ten years earlier, we had a set of brothers coaching against each other for a title.  What was a great battle that came down to the end was overshadowed by a lengthy power outage.

Last year we covered the 49ers and Cowboys in the Nickelodeon Wild Card game with an ending that had us all like WTF?

This year we came back to watch the rematch as both teams faced off with a trip to the NFC Championship Game on the line.

Today, New Japan Pro Wrestling has its annual January 4th supershow at the Tokyo Dome in Wrestle Kingdom 17. In celebration, Greg and Chico record their first live show with Peacock as they look at WCW Starrcade 1995, which features New Japan taking on World Championship Wrestling in the World Cup of Wrestling!

Also, Sting, Lex Luger and Ric Flair battle in a triangle match, with the winner meeting the Macho Man for the WCW championship in the main event! This show is, so action-packed you may need to snap into some Slim Jim's!

Wrestling fans tuned into the WCW Halloween Havoc 1993 Pay-Per-View expecting a night of exciting wrestling and what happened in the first four minutes was so weird that it's been on Greg's mind for the last 29 years.

In 1994 and 1995, both ABC and NBC had a joint venture where they'd air primetime baseball.  It went sideways after some markets did not get regional coverage.  It didn't help there was a strike which cut short both seasons, including no World Series in 1994.
