It Was a Thing on TV: An Anthology on Forgotten Television

This is it!  We have reached another milestone, this time looking back at the show covered in the second half of episode 3.  Unlike the first time, Chico is with us this time and thankfully can make the trip with us to Zippers?!?! Also, Greg has a major announcement which is truly a game changer. What is the major announcement? You have to listen to Episode 300 and find out!

In our second 'revisited' episode, we go back to the first half of episode 3 and take a second look at the short-lived NBC perennial bomb Manimal.  We get deeper into the show, the guests, and we have Chico present this time around.

Greg and Chico continue their livewatches of the original Star Trek movies as they look at what is regarded as the best Trek movie in The Wrath of KHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!

What if Merlin the Magician lived in the 20th Century instead of during Arthurian times?  In 1981, CBS gave us an answer to that question when Merlin lived in San Francisco and owned an auto repair shop.  It appears CBS had faith in the series, but it went up against difficult competition from the start.

In our second of two entries related to the upcoming Thor movie release, this episode looks at a TV movie from 1988 where Thor appears in the same universe as The Incredible Hulk...but that's not the Thor we know or remember.  Listener discretion is advised, as this was treated like a live watch.

In Ewan McGreggor's epic return to the role of our favorite Jedi master, Obi-Wan has to deal with failing in his training of Anakin back in "Revenge of the Sith".

Meanwhile, a certain Princess from Alderaan is kidnapped and it's up to Obi-Wan to save her from the clutches of the Empire and his former Padawan turned Sith Lord.

Outer space science fiction was everywhere in the late 70s--in your movie theater, on public television, in primetime, even on Saturday mornings.  The crew at Filmation gave us their take on space adventures with Jason of Star Command, which featured a veteran from an outer space classic.

Greg and Chico go to warp speed in the newest It Was a Thing on TV Live Show as they look at the recent 4K restoration for The Director's Edition of "Star Trek: The Motion Picture" on Paramount+.

The WB (and now, The CW) like their superhero shows.  In 2001, The WB piloted a reboot of a mid-70s superhero duo, but brought them to the modern day including making the main character (we're not joking) a 50-year-old divorcee who lives in a trailer and is a raging alcoholic.  Needless to say, The WB said thanks but no thanks to Electra-Woman and Dyna-Girl.
