Episode 214--The Jesse Ventura Story
Thursday Nov 11, 2021
Thursday Nov 11, 2021
Jesse Ventura did the improbable in 1998, being elected Minnesota's governor. Of course, someone had to jump over that story and create a made-for-TV movie. Unfortunately, little fact checking was done and many creative liberties were taken. And to add a creepy twist, this aired the same night as one of the most tragic events in pro wrestling history.

One contestant called Rob Tussin tried making a glorious entrance but it almost ended in catastrophe. And he jumped right up and continued with the game!

The Olympic Triplecast wasn't the only big flop in 1992. Reebok ran an ad campaign with two highly touted athletes, only for one to not make it to Barcelona. One ended up eventually winning gold four years later though and hey at least it sold a lot of Reebok Pump's.
